The workshop will focus on some elements that are part of a pedagogical content knowledge course of a teacher training programme. It will be a hand-on workshop where participants will be given the opportunity to try out and contribute through various assignments.
Emphasis will be given to active learning activities of students through some examples such as the use of concept maps, predict-observe-explain demonstration experiments, peer instruction, low-cost laboratory work and assessment with special attention to dealing with large groups of students.

At this short workshop participants will have the opportunity to reflect on quality of life taking inconsideration current events such as those affecting foods and toys and its relation to quality, environmental and food safety and means to implement practices and methods that are effective, efficient and recognizable as best in class.As a follow-up to the presentation on "Environmental Quality", the Contemporary Environmental Management for the Enterprise combines issues regarding quality of life and those that have recently impacted world markets. This workshop focus on quality of
life applying international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 9001 and others in light of current global challenges from both producer as well as buyer perspectives.
Discussions will include the management protocols for effective and integral managerial system. Participants will be encourage to engage in participation in assisting to identify, establish and implement programs and managerial system that best fit the needs of their markets whether is industry or government. Specifically we will discuss on the integration of management systems refer to food safety, quality and the environment.
